Order a Complete Gourmet Meal Online

Sure, I knew you could order from Pizza Hut and Domino’s. I knew it was a popular choice for college kids. But, I could order a seven course gourmet meal and have it delivered to my door. I know that some people merely look at food as fuel. I suppose that’s the best choice if you have problems controlling your weight. But, I look at a meal as an “experience” and everything contributes to enjoying that experience.
From the place settings to the aroma and the appearance, if it all comes together properly, a meal is like an event. Of course, even for the best of us, it’s difficult to put all of that together, particularly if you suddenly learn that you will have unexpected guests for the weekend. That’s why I originally looked for gourmet foods and desserts online.
I wanted to put together an elegant meal, but I didn’t have a lot of time. We had relatives coming by and I had served most of my stand-by favorites to them before. They always raved about the table and how pleasant it was to eat in our home. So, I wanted to live up to past performances. We always enjoy their visits, even though they sometimes don’t give us much notice. But, that’s fine. They’re family, after all. Once I saw that I could have a complete meal delivered the next day, I started to realize that I didn’t really feel much like cooking. Maybe the ability to order meals and desserts online is just “too” easy. Maybe, I’ll become lazy and forget how to cook. But, just listen to some of these menus. You could begin with Brie with Raspberry en Croute, followed by a French cut rack of marinated and rubbed pork, accompanied by red-skinned garlic mashed potatoes, crisp broccoli with a four cheese sauce and a multi-grain baguette.
Not in the mood for French food, how about Cajun turkey with green bean amandine on the side and artisan bread? That’s the meal I decided on, because it is easily followed by cheesecake, which is my personal favorite.
At www.cheesecakedelivered.com , I found a full range of desserts online. Much to my surprise, it was still early enough to have it all delivered the next day. Well ahead of time for the impromptu family gathering. Everything arrived as promised. All that I had to do was set the table and serve. I decided to accept the praise, because even though I hadn’t spent all day cooking. I spent nearly an hour deciding what to order.
You know, there’s another way to look at this. If we can have food this good delivered to our homes, we could save gas and help protect the environment. Okay, maybe I’m stretching to explain my laziness, but I still wanted to share my gourmet meals and desserts online experience.
